It has not been the easiest start to a new year. To make a long story short, the rocky part is referring to my marriage. I have been married for 2.5 years and been with my husband for a total of 8 years. We actually dated in Jr High School, lost touch, and got back together in college. We are currently working through these tough times, and we have a long journey ahead of us. I am taking one day at a time and trying not to live in the future. But more on this later...
Aside from my marriage, my career is slowly starting to take off. I work for LuxMobile Group and I absolutely love my job. Now, a little background, I went to school for interior design, which I absolutely love! The position I hold currently has absolutely nothing to do with interior design, although there is a little graphic design I take part in, but not much. I am the Production Manager, Office Manager, Systems Guru, and executive Assistant to the CEO, yes, I actually do all those jobs. At LuxMobile, we design, manufacture, and license mobile accessories. We sleep, breath, live design. We are a close knit group of about 15 and we all love what we do! I really lucked out with this job, because I definitely just fell into the position, starting as executive assistant, and then getting promoted within 6 months of being there. I give a shout out to my Boss, Gina, she is the most amazing boss and friend a girl could have.
So, last is my social life. I don't have many friends, but the friends I do have I cherish greatly. Each one of them plays an important part in keeping me sane. I want to thank you all for being there for me during the good, bad and ugly. And remember, I am always here for you when you need my shoulder, my giggles, or my ears.
